A highly bioavailable form of zinc, Zinc Picolinate is well tolerated and metabolised by the body. Picolinate (a Tryptophan metabolite) serves as one of the most efficient chelators of trace minerals in the body, for effectively raising tissue levels.

Warnings
It is advisable to monitor blood Zinc and Copper levels during any prolonged supplementation, in order to prevent potential copper deficiencies/imbalances.
Long-term/high dose Zinc supplementation can inhibit the absorption of copper (testing Zinc and Copper levels after long-term supplementation is advised, to ensure a healthy Zn:Cu ratio is maintained). Zinc Picolinate has not been extensively tested for its effects during pregnancy. Health practitioners may prefer to avoid its use during pregnancy or lactation, unless confident that its impact can be reasonably deemed to be safe or beneficial.
